Paradores of Spain

Paradores are a unique network of state owned Spanish hotels. Founded in 1928, there are now 95 dotted across the country, many in beautifully restored historic buildings such as Moorish fortresses, former convents, palaces, castles or stately homes. Some are to be found in World Heritage cities others in National Parks and mountainous areas or in idyllic coastal settings such as the Mediterranean Sea to the South and East and the beautiful Bay of Biscay to the North.

Ranging from 3* to 5*, the Paradores pride themselves on their high quality service and great value accommodation with particular emphasis placed on cuisine, focusing on the best regional ingredients and dishes and excellent local wines.

The unique style and stunning setting of some of the Paradores, combined with their superb restaurants, make them an ideal setting for a weekend getaway, short break, special occasion and even a wedding abroad!

You can stay for any duration and go in any direction – the choice is yours!
