The Convent of San Francisco, dates back to 1596. The inner rooms are welcoming with an elegant, peaceful air. There are 14 inner courtyards and a splendid garden with swimming pool. Beautiful galleries, wood and latticework complete the peaceful setting – the predominant sound being the murmuring of the fountains.. The bedrooms, formerly the monastic cells, are quiet and comfortable.

Almagro is 200 km from Madrid on the Autovía de Andalucía (A-4, Madrid-Cádiz). Take exit 174 for Manzanares and head towards Bolaños-Almagro. Almagro is 125 km from Bailén via the Autovía de Andalucía (A-4, Cádiz-Madrid). Take exit 202 for Valdepeñas and head towards Ciudad Real. From Toledo, the distance is 130 km. Take the Autovia de los Viñedos (CM-42) and connect to the A-4 (Madrid-Cadiz) at Madridejos.

The Parador de Almagro, is located on the Ronda de San Francisco, in the old quarter of the city of Almagro in an area of historical interest and natural beauty. The wetland nature reserve at Tablas de Daimiel National Park is approximately 30 km away, a Special Protection Area for birds and the core of the Biosphere reserve Mancha Húmeda.
