The building is Gothic in style and incorporates an old slender tower. There is an inner courtyard which is paved and has a small cloister around it. Gothic, Renaissance and baroque styles can be seen throughout. The inner courtyard and cobblestones, frames and wooden beams and the original mantelpiece in the living room make up the interior decor. Of particular note is the original mantelpiece in the living room. The hotel’s wine cellar has more than 300 varieties of Spanish wine.
The old quarter of Cáceres, where the Parador is located, is pedestrian only. If you arrive by car, at Plaza de Santa Clara (Santa Clara Square), you will find bollards blocking vehicle access. To enter, request access from the local police (press the button on the intercom at the traffic light). Inform them that you have a reservation at the Parador and they will lower the bollards. Do not attempt to enter after another car. Wait until the bollards rise and request access for your vehicle.
The former Torreorgaz Palace, built on Arabic foundations, this Parador is located in the heart of the historical and artistic quarter of Cáceres.
