Cambados, located in the province of Pontevedra, is a delightful little town located in a wine producing area of Galicia and is known for its famous white wine, Albariño and for its strong connection to the sea – fishing is the major local industry in the region. The Parador is located in one of the finest buildings in the town, a grey stone manor house which dates back to the 17th century. The exterior features long, low classical facades and a square castellated tower, while within the walls there is an arcaded courtyard where guests may dine while listening to the gentle sounds of an old stone fountain. The public rooms feature beamed ceilings and stone pillars, and in the garden there is an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court. The restaurant features many dishes based on seafood freshly landed on the local Galician coast.
