This amazing Parador was formerly an Arabic citadel and home to cardinals, bishops and even kings. Today guests are able to enjoy the extraordinary interior and the splendid location. Nearby you will find the centre of the town with its cathedral and the Plaza Mayor. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated in traditional Castilian style and each one is spacious and equipped with excellent amenities and facilities. Some also have a four poster bed and a terrace or balcony with views of the interior patio with its fountain and well. The dining room is located in the walls of the castle and services food and wine of the region. Within the hotel is the wonderful stone courtyard, royal chambers, and elegantly decorated common rooms. The Parador even has its own Romanesque style in-house chapel which dates back to the 13th century.

How To Arrive

Sigüenza is easy to reach from Madrid and Zaragoza via the N-II. At km 104, take the exit for the CM-1101, 23 km from Sigüenza; or take the Alcolea exit at km 136, 20 km from Sigüenza.

Location

The Parador is situated in the ancient town of Sigüenza, 75 km northeast of Guadalajara, the capital of the province. It stands on a hill with breathtaking views of the countryside.
