Parador de Tortosa

This Parador, an impressive castle dating back to the 10th century, is on a hill above the ancient city of Tortosa. Guests approach the hotel via a steep, winding road, which makes its way around the walls and fortified gateways. The traditional-style rooms, with wooden furniture and rich wall hangings, each have a wooden balcony with views over the city. The dining room with its large Gothic windows and the Arabic motifs serves a variety of local dishes combined with excellent wines from the region. Beautiful mountain views can be enjoyed whilst having a swim in the outdoor pool or going for a stroll in the hotel’s gardens.
