This very special pilgrimage will commence with a direct flight which will take you from Dublin to Tel Aviv in just under 6 hours. You then begin your Pilgrimage in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee from where you will visit Cana, Mount Tabor, Capernaum and Nazareth. A drive through the Jordan Valley will take you to Jerusalem where you will visit the Old City and all the main sites of interest and to Bethlehem where you will have an opportunity to visit the Church of the Nativity and see the Shepherds Fields.
Day 1 – Dublin, Tiberias
On arrival meet and greet at the airport and transfer to Tiberias for supper and overnight.
Day 2 – Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Mont of Beatitudes
Commence the day by enjoying a boat trip on Sea of Galilee. Afterwards visit Capernaum and proceed to Tabgha - visit the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. Continue to Church of the Primacy of St. Peter the place is also known as Mensa Christi. Celebrate Mass here. Visit the Mount of Beatitudes - Site of the Sermon of the Mount. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – Mount Tabor, Nazareth
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mount Tabor scene of the Transfiguration. Ascend the mountain by taxi. Drive to Cana of Galilee - site of the first miracle at the wedding feast, couples may renew their marriage vows here. Drive to Nazareth. Visit the Church of the Annunciation celebrate Mass here. Visit the home of the Holy Family, St. Joseph’s workshop, the synagogue and Mary’s Well. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – River Jordan, Jerusalem
Breakfast at hotel. Check out and drive to the Jordan River – Baptismal site. Continue to Jericho and view the Mount of Temptation, The Walls of Jericho, Zacchaeus’ tree. Continue through the Jordan Valley and onwards to Jerusalem. On arrival enjoy the panoramic view of old and new Jerusalem. Visit the place of the Ascension, The Pater Noster Church and Dominus Flevit – celebrate Mass here. Afterwards visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Bethlehem
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Bethlehem (10 km) and visit the Church of the Nativity. Visit the site of the Nativity, and the Grotto of St. Jerome, the Manger square. See the Shepherd’s Fields and celebrate Mass here, visit the Milk Grotto. Dinner at hotel. Holy Hour at the Rock of the Agony in the Church of All Nations. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – Mount Zion, Ein Karem
Breakfast at hotel. Afterwards drive to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Visit the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion, the Upper Room and the Dormition Abbey. Continue to Ein Karem – Birthplace of St. John the Baptist – Celebrate Mass at the Church of St. John. Visit the Church of the Visitation. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 7 – St. Stephen’s Gate, Via Dolorosa, Holy Sepulchre
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to St. Stephen’s Gate. Enter the Old City. Visit the Church of St. Ann and Pool of Bethesda. Continue to the Chapel of Flagellation – celebrate Mass here. Continue to Lithostrotos, carry the cross along the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre including Calvary and the Tomb of Christ. Walk through the Jewish Quarter through the Cardo to the Temple Area. Visit the Western Wall. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – Dead Sea, Jerusalem
Breakfast at hotel. Drive through the Wilderness of Judea (celebrate Mass in the Judean Desert) before bypassing the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Proceed along the shores of the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran - site of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Take a dip in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Dublin
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport in time for your return flight to Dublin
