You begin your Pilgrimage in Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee from where you will visit Nazareth, Cana, Mount Tabor and Capernaum. A drive through the Jordan Valley will take you to Jerusalem where you will visit the Old City and all the main sites of interest and to Bethlehem where you will have an opportunity to actively engage with the Christians living there.

Itinerary Details

Wednesday 21 August

Depart Cork via London to Tel Aviv. On arrival meet and greet at the airport and transfer to Tiberias for light supper and overnight.

Thursday 22 August

Breakfast at hotel. Commence the day with an unforgettable boat trip on Sea of Galilee from Ginnosar followed by a visit to Magdala the ancient city on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. We visit the beautiful Church “Duc in Altum” and celebrate Mass in the Boat Chapel here. Afterwards we visit Capernaum “The Town of Jesus” see the house of St Peter and visit the Synagogue then continue to the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter the place is also known as Mensa Christi a beautiful location near the Sea of Galilee. Proceed to Tabgha - the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish.Visit the Mount of Beatitudes - Site of the Sermon of the Mount. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Friday 23 August

Breakfast at hotel.Drive to Cana of Galilee - site of the first miracle at the wedding feast, couples may renew their marriage vows here. Drive to Nazareth. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation celebrate Mass here, see the Grotto and the home of the Holy Family and St. Joseph’s workshop, the synagogue and Mary’s Well. Drive to Mount Tabor scene of the Transfiguration ascend the mountain by taxi. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Saturday 24 August

Breakfast at hotel. Check out and drive to the Jordan River – Baptismal site. Continue to Jericho and stop at the sycamore tree associated with Zacchaeus, view the Mount of Temptation, the historic Walls of Jericho, Continue through the Jordan Valley and onwards to Jerusalem. On arrival enjoy the panoramic view of old and new Jerusalem. Visit the place of the Ascension, The Pater Noster Church and Dominus Flevit – celebrate Mass here. Afterwards visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Sunday 25 August

Breakfast at hotel.Drive to Bethlehem (10 km) and visit the Church of the Nativity. Visit the site of the Nativity, and the Grotto of St. Jerome, the Manger square. Visit the Milk Grotto. Visit the Shepherd’s Fields and celebrate Mass here. Dinner at hotel.

Monday 26 August

Breakfast at hotel.Afterwards drive to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu celebrate Mass here. Visit the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion, the Upper Room and the Dormition Abbey. Continue to Ein Karem – Birthplace of St. John the Baptist in the Church of St. John. Visit the Church of the Visitation.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. After dinner an opportunity for a Holy Hour at the Rock of the Agony in the Church of All Nations. Return to hotel for overnight.

Tuesday 27 August

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Jaffa Gate. Enter the Old City. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre including Calvary and the Tomb of Christ, celebrate Mass in the Chapel of the Apparition. Drive to St. Stephen’s Gate. Visit the Church of St. Anne and the Pool of Bethesda. Continue to the Chapels of Flagellation and Condemnation, onwards past Lithostrotos, walk along the Via Dolorosa. Continue through the Jewish Quarter through the Cardo to the Temple Area.Visit the Western Wall. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday 28 August

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Bethany and celebrate Mass at the Church of St Lazarus followed by a visit to the Tomb of Lazarus. Drive through the Wilderness of Judea before bypassing the Inn of the Good Samaritan.Proceed along the shores of the Dead Sea. Visit Qumran - site of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Take a dip in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Thursday 29 August

Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport in time for your return flight to Cork via London.


Sea of Galilee Hotel, Tiberias (3 nights)

Newly constructed 200 room hotel located in Migdal which is northwest of Tiberias. All its room have balcony

facing the Sea of Galilee.

Grand Court Hotel Jerusalem (5 nights)

This hotel is within walking distance of the old city of Jerusalem. All its rooms are comfortably furnished
